The Leviticus Fund recently participated in an online training presented by NYC Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).
The HPD’s Building Capacity Course is designed for Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) and nonprofit developers seeking opportunities and exposure to best practices in affordable housing development. Participants learn and expand existing skills in affordable housing development and finance, asset and property management, as well as position their business for effective joint ventures and public-private partnerships. The City has committed to increasing the participation of M/WBE and nonprofit developers in building affordable housing and diverse neighborhoods.
Classes are presented by panels of HPD and private subject matter experts and include topics that will lead participants through the steps of affordable housing development.
The Leviticus Fund joined a panel on Pre-Development Financing, and presented an overview of our new lending initiative EDREE (Empowering Diverse Real Estate Entrepreneurs).
