SINA (Southside Institutions Neighborhood Alliance) hosted a festive groundbreaking ceremony on November 21, 2017 marking the start of its newest development project to create affordable homeownership opportunities for moderate-income families in Hartford, Connecticut.
Greg Maher, Leviticus’ Executive Director, spoke at the event and affirmed how Leviticus’ $2 million construction loan aligns clearly with the values of our investors. “Our mission at Leviticus is to make socially responsible investments in housing. We are delighted to partner with SINA in a project that will have tremendous impact,“ he said.
Cityscape VI will build nine new homes on vacant lots and rehabilitate three abandoned buildings. In total there will be 22 units of housing, including 10 rental apartments. All the homes will be sold to households at or below 100% of area median income (AMI), with the 10 rental units set at affordable rates.
SINA is a partnership between Connecticut’s Children’s Medical Center, Hartford Hospital, and Trinity College, and reflects their shared commitment to promoting greater access to quality housing and improved public health outcomes.
